Review content:
From the moment we entered the Lodge we felt trapped. You feel like you can't talk above a whisper at all times. It is VERY expensive and they tack on double service charges everday, plus room tax. The meals are very tasty but the dining room has no atmosphere and the wait stuff can't seem remember anyones order. The view of the redwoods is lovely from your room, but the hard outdoor furniture with no cushions doesn't promote sitting outside. The indoor pool is so warm, you can't really swim in it. Upon finally leaving, the bell attendant tossed our luggage in our car and tried to slam the lid of our trunk closed, almost denting the lid, until my husband got out of the car and rearranged the luggage to fit. The attenendant walked off in a huff without a word. We will not return.
Pros: good message, good food, nice hike
Cons: too quiet, staff, ombiance
