Review content:
I purchased a Samsung Epic 4G phone from the RADIO SHACK in BROOMFIELD, CO and signed up for Sprint service. The phone if purchased out right is VERY expensive so, the store manager encouraged and explained why it was much better to purchase RADIO SHACK's replacement insurance compared to Sprint - Sprint will give a refurbished phone if your phone is damaged and you will pay a deductibles but, RADIO SHACK will sell you this so called insurance for 99.00 which covers a full year and it will replace your phone if damaged with a new one. I bought the insurance because the phone is so expensive to replace. I purchased my phone in November 2010 it was damaged in a boating accident 'total loss' August 2011 took my phone to store where I purchased it - not only would they not replace it...they did not even try to repair it - the manager avoided me ""she sold me the phone and the so called insurance last year? the other employee spoke to her in the back office; the stores advice and response was SORRY! "" put the phone in a bag of rice it might dry it out if that doesn't work you may be able to find one on CRAIGSLIST for about 300.00"" So, Basically I?m out a six hundred dollar phone ? hasn?t been a year so I?m not eligible for an upgrade.
THE INSURANCE IS A JOKE - ASK TO READ THE FINE PRINT IT COVERS NOTHING! EXTREMLY POOR MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ON BEHALF OF RADIOSHACK AND SPRINT SHOULD LOOK INTO WHAT IS BEING TOLD TO PEOPLE WITH REGARDS TO PHONE INSURANCE/REPLACEMENT WHEN POTENTIAL OR EXISTING CUSTOMERS SIGN UP FOR THERE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION.
