I have lived here for almost 2 years now. I chose the place b/c the apartments are spacious and the community is beautiful. That's where the positive things end. As long as you never plan on having to interact with the management you should be okay, however that is almost impossible. To name a few specific problems: security deposit magically doubling last minute, my car being towed out of its spot just to be moved 100 yards so the parking lot could be repaved rather than asking me to move it, constant construction noise, lazy/inadequate management, poor communication (i.e. explaining terms of the lease), management's inability to process maintenance requests, lack of care for the tenants when a problem is presented...the list can go on and on. If this is just a short stop, and I mean short, then by all means, sign the lease at your own risk, however if you are looking for a place to live that will give you no hassle and a place you would love to recommend to a loved one or friend, Westlake Apartments doesn't even deserve the last place on your list. Pros: Appearance Cons: Everything else
