Spoke to a rep Monday about setting up a time to do an inspection. We agreed on a Thursday (today). I specifically asked the rep if they would accept a $75 check and was told they would. The inspector showed up as planned, did the inspection, then rang my doorbell. As I was handing her a check for the agreed upon amount, she told me she could not accept the check because our house had not been chemical sprayed in over 5 years. Then proceeds to tell me that I need to pay $400 or my contract is void! Maybe it's just me, but if you have just received a verbal agreement on the price of the inspection, then shouldn't that be what the customer should pay?? I told her that nobody mentioned this to me even as early as this past Monday when I set up the inspection time, and she told me they don't tell the customers over the phone because it's too complicated to explain. What? So now the customers are too stupid to understand an explanation?? In my opinion this is a very poor business practice that will no doubt cause them a loss. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Cons: Lack of communication with customers
