I was doing a lot of traveling between Chicago and Manitowoc. I love Wisconsin cheese. I had stopped at Mars cheese castle and it was ok. I saw this little store on the side of the road and stopped at Bobby Nelson's. It was like walking back in time. Talked with Bobby for awhile - He's quite the salesman. Instead of cheese, I wound up buying an assortment of his homemade dried sausage. I have found nothing like it since. After 14 years I still remember and dream of it. I have since moved away and still tell anyone willing to listen of the tasteful delights of this little store. Too bad he doesn't have a web sight - I would be a loyal customer. However, that would ruin the charm.
