This is my second year at Mustang Village, and I have to say that it was a terrible choice on my part. This is by far the most pathetically operated apartment complex in all of San Luis Obispo. If you have seen their website and their claim to luxury, do not be fooled. This place is about as far from luxury as you can get. The only reason that Mustang can afford to charge so much is their proximity to the campus. Live on campus if possible or live in one of the surrounding apartments, seriously. Do you like unexpected drilling and sawing at 8am in the morning? Do you enjoy it when your water gets shut off with absolutely no warning and you have to take showers in an empty apartment 300 yards away? Then this is the place for you?.. When I went to renew my lease here for my second year, I decided to be courteous to Mustang Village by renewing early when they had posted all of their ""RENEW NOW AT DISCOUNT PRICE"" signs. Sadly, this was a ploy. Two months later, after I had renewed, Mustang Village lowers the prices of their rent by $130 per month, and was reluctant to lower mine. This is just one of many ways that Mustang Village will clean out your pockets. Not to mention, they have the worst staff I have ever had to deal with. Most of the people who work in the office will only help you if they feel like it, and that is not very often. Do not fall for their trap, please, you can find much better and cheaper living accommodations elsewhere.
