Review content:
I, as well as several other boaters, have been severely disappointed with CMM over the last year - to the extent that I am seriously now taking my boat out of River City Marine (the same owners). First let me start with their over-charging. They increase the number of hours for particular jobs and thereby present customers with higher bills that should actually be charged. This was tested because of my second issue with CMM. Their quality of work is shoddy and on more than one issue I have had my boat back for the same problems repeatedly. I have had 3 different issues over the last year with my boat, and have had my boat into CMM 5 times total - 2 out of 3 issues I have had the boat in twice to fix (and are still issues) and needless to say when the 3rd issue wasn't fixed, I decided to go elsewhere. Please keep in mind that I was charged for all 5 service visits - even though CMM had not fixed the problems. I took the boat elsewhere and in 1 visit all three issues are completely resolved, and my bill was MUCH less - the difference being the number of hours CMM charged vs. the number of hours the other place charged. All in all CMM overcharged me for 13 hrs of work, plus the extra bills for repeat service on the same problem. To make matters worse, it seems things are just getting worse around there. The delay is horrible - they will have your boat for weeks. The customer service is terrible, I cannot count how many times my calls have not been returned, or when they have the woman (I will refrain from mentioning her name) has been very rude and dismissive. I would highly caution anyone considering CMM for routine service or repairs to keep looking - make several calls to several places and use someone other than CMM. Pros: Next to the marine where I keep my boat Cons: Overcharging, long delays, not returning calls, rude, dismissive
