Businiess name:  Molly's Place Rescue Pet
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
This review is based upon observations of the facilities at Molly's, in combination with observations of the replies to reviewers on various websites. For purposes of simplicity, I will divide this review into pros and cons. PROS:1)The animals at Molly's appear to be well socialized, as evidenced by the free roam policy. This is a big plus for anyone considering adopting, who already has pets at home.2) The staff at Molly's clearly care a great deal about the animals they take care of. 3) The room where the dogs were was very clean, and any accidents were immediately cleaned up.4) Molly's offers a large number and variety of pets to choose from.5) The senior staff appear to be very knowledgeable regarding medical issues that pets may experience. CONS:1) While free roam provides great opportunity for socialization, it also provides a higher potential for spread of infection. However, I would imagine that Molly's makes provision for isolation of any animal that has clear signs of an infectious process.2) Responses to negative reviews from the staff at Molly's are quite scary, to say the least. I have read every thing from moral judgements, defamation of character, to calling people liars, idiots, stupid, unintelligent, and more.Perhaps because of their loyalty to Molly's , and their strong feelings in caring for animals, they lack the ability to objectively read reviews, which in all reality, are simply opinions. This alone would make me pause before considering adopting from Mollie's. I believe most people prefer to form their own opinions - at least I do.....so reading negative reviews wouldn't influence me as much as the attitudes of the employees responding to them. Reviews can be a valuable tool, if used properly. They are meant to give the facility an opportunity to examine their policies, procedures and practices , and see if there is potential for betterment and personal growth. Much could be gained if they would learn to be proactive, instead of reactive. Dismissal of others opinions makes one appear inherently prideful and narcissistic, and personal attacks seem rabid and full of assumptions. This type of response to reviews does nothing to benefit Molly's or their cause;in fact, any potential adopter reading these responses would be entirely justified in seeking a pet elsewhere, for fear of experiencing the same kind of attack if they should have a negative experience at Molly's, and dare to comment on it in a review. In summary: Molly's is a clean facility staffed with caring people, and it offers a large variety of adoptable pets. It might benefit them, if they could learn to interact with people, as well as they do with animals.Every action has a consequence, and unfortunately, current actions by Molly's employees as evidenced by their responses on review sites, do absolutely nothing to encourage anyone to consider Molly's Place when thinking about adopting.Your responses to reviews is the clearest indicator of how you treat the public. Advice? It's not realistic to expect 100% good reviews. Learn to accept and expect the bad with the good, and learn to respond to negative reviews in a positive, productive manner.
