Review content:
I wanted to make it known that I will no longer continue to be a client of Dr. Tavel's office. I have been a client for approximately 7 years at the Bloomington, IN location.
My decision to discontinue patronage is due to the abhorrent level of customer service I have received over the years, and the majority of the poor service lies with one of the front desk employees. I do not know her name, but she has dark hair and wears glasses, approximately 40 years of age.
My decision to no longer be a client was made after said employee refused to compensate me for a broken frame on my $150 pair of glasses. The frames had broke during the one year warranty, although I brought them in 2 weeks after the expiration of the warranty due to getting married and leaving town for our honeymoon.
Said employee showed absolutely no compassion, which is understandable given our past interactions in which she has been atrocious in any form of customer service. She did in fact offer me a price to replace the frames, yet did so in an utterly condescending manner. I was so offended by her demeanor and condescending attitude that I left the store, and told her I would not be coming back.
One week later, I received my prescription in the mail from Dr. Tavel's office, obviously sent from her due to no one else knowing of this matter. Now I ask myself, was she doing me a favor by sending me my prescription, or is it simply a back handed attempt by her to say ""good riddance, I don't want or need your patronage""?
The answer is simple to me at this point, as I have dealt with said employee over the years, and have always received a smug, condescending tone from her. Therefore, I will no longer be a customer of Dr. Tavel's and will advise my friends and family to do the same, even though I really get along with one of the optometrists there.
