Dr. Schroeder and his desk staff seem to be on a power trip, mandating patient-unfriendly policies and enforcing them in a needlessly condescending manner. First, prior to an appointment I had already confirmed, I received two voice mails from the office staff saying ""we must hear back from you."" When I returned the call I was told it was to ensure they would set aside time for my appointment. Apparently that wasn't done when I made the appointment just a few weeks prior. When I arrived with the completed new patient forms from the web site, I was told there was one additional form. It turns out they make patients SIGN A CONTRACT before treatment saying we MUST return their pre-appointment phone calls or they have the right to cancel the appointment! I was mostly amused by this, especially after hearing the same word-for-word explanation parroted to me by two different employees. Clearly they get asked this question a lot and have a coordinated strategy for explaining their interesting approach to appointment scheduling. Based on the above first impression I decided I would give them a small trial run by having just the cleaning I had scheduled, and declined the x-rays I was offered. At that time Dr. Schroeder was brought in to robotically tell me that I must have x-rays, and was more interested in having me walk out of the office than to respect my wishes for treatment that day. If you are considering a new dentist, please do yourself a favor and keep looking. There are a lot of friendly and well-reviewed dentist offices in the Fishers area.
