Review content:
Normandie has been around as long as I can remember. Few places in the central Jersey area can do pastries (particularly Italian pastries) like Normandie. Every Christmas Eve, their mini Italian pastry sampler tray is a must-have in my home. Their Kringles are outstanding, too. I've never had a cake from there, so I can't comment on their cakes, but I see some complaints on this site. I think, however, that if I were going to get an extra special cake for a major event like a wedding or something, I'd go to someone whose area of expertise is specialty cakes (i.e., ""Cake Boss"" or someone like that who is more affordable, of course). But the pastries at Normandie are the best in the area. And the staff is very personable and helpful.
