Until today I was a regular customer of this shop at 101 Hudson because : 1. My parents loved the baguette and the tomato soup in the evenings. 2. The bake sale was moved from 7-8pm to 4-6pm and it used to work well for me on my way back from work. 3. Employees were very friendly. However, today when I was filling out my can with the tomato cheddar soup , there was a well dressed lady next to me who was checking out all other soups and the lid of the clam chowder soup fell into the huge container. She tried hard to keep it back and it did not work. She kept saying sorry to the lady at the counter and then she left. When i approached the counter to pay , this lady at the counter said that a customer complained that i dropped the lid. I tried to explain and she wouldnt listen, She then treated me like sh**. Was I the target because I was not as well dressed as the other lady ? Or because I was Asian and the well dressed lady was White ?? I asked her how I could contact the manager and she replied ""Why you want to talk to manager ? To complain ?"" and I said yes. The manager approached and apologized. I appreciate your apology sir, but I wouldnt want to spoil my day over a lid of soup for no mistake of mine by your employee. Thank you for all the bageuttes and tomato soups. Good bye !
