Review content:
I picked up some take-out from Massis last night on my way out of the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square mall. I ordered some vegetarian plates and a fish plate and a special chicken and beef kabob plate. My carnivore friends loved the meat and we all thought the falafel was superb. Since I'm a recent vegan I have been eating a lot more falafel lately and have been disappointed many times by restaurants serving dry, hard or greasy falafels. Massis were crispy without being hard and very tender and delicious on the inside without falling apart when I bit into them. And this was after they had been sitting in the to-go container for 20 minutes! We also loved the taboule and the hummus, which is more like a dip with a touch of herbs for extra flavor. I know where I'm eating next time I go shopping!
Pros: perfect falafel, tasty sides, everything cooked to order
Cons: only in the mall
