Several years ago, I was specifically looking for a simple floral arrangement to decorate a church alter for a wedding that was to happen in 3weeks. An older Japanese lady assisted me. In a very rude tone, she said that it was too short of a notice and that most of her customers plan their wedding arrangements a year in advance. I told her I did not need a wedding bouquet or flowers for the bridesmaid etc.. that I am just inquiring about florals for a church alter. She commented that I should have started months in advance and that floral arrangements, especially for weddings, takes time. While I headed out the door, I overheard the florist, make a comment to another customer, that I was stupid for planning things last minute.
I went to several other florists afterwards and none said that my request was a problem
