Review content:
Main Line Pet Spa does a good job grooming our goldendoodle but it seems like they are only in business to make money and not because they love animals. While they definitely are not mean in anyway, nor do I feel like our dog is being harmed they don't act excited to see them and just treat them like a means to end (getting paid.) They frequently have groomers not show up and need to cancel and reschedule your appointment.. When they are short staffed they have the woman who supervises the doggie day care next door step in to wait on customers. This means she is temporarily leaving the dogs in the day care unattended and then leaving the dogs in the groomers unattended in their cages while she jumps back and forth. Personally I am not a fan of the cages - while they may seem necessary our old groomer in Boston had a great system that we grew to love. The dogs were separated by clean and dirty and the dirty dogs could run and ply with each other and the clean dogs could do the same. They were free to run around which eliminated the constant barking which is very unsettling to caged dogs. This past week they canceled our appointment right before the holidays (meaning we can?t get an appointment anywhere else since these places book up fast) and we have decided not to return since we only used them as a matter of convenience and not because we were thrilled with their services.
Pros: decent grooming
Cons: poor business management
