Review content:
I have been a patient of Dr. Erickson for 25 years. I have never missed an appointment or cancelled without calling. They usually call and give me a 2 day 'heads up' before my appointment. I live 10 minutes from their location and had forgotten about my appointment. I received a call 10 minutes after my appointment was schedualed and they told me they were going to charge a $40.00 dollar cancellation fee. I told the person calling that I could be there in 10 minutes and they said ""No, I would have to make another appointment"". I asked ""Why they hadn't called 2 days ahead like they normally would"". She said they had but my phone did not indicate any message was sent. I asked them to wave the charge as I have never missed an appointment or called in to cancell if something had come up. I offered to pay half seeing as I didn't feel it was totally my fault (having not received a phone call in advance of my appointment). They would not budge and insisted they had left a message on my cell phone (when they have always called my home phone previously). I find it very disappointing when times are tough that they would insist on charging a 25 year patient this $40.00 dollar charge. I am currently searching for other dentists that appreciate a loyal customer and will not charge a 'cancellation fee' to a loyal customer.
Pros: none lately
Cons: insensitive
