Review content:
We had a granite countertop and island installed. We went with Pro Stone because we liked the people and they were the lowest bid we got for the job. However nice they were, this was our experience: 1) They did not install a plywood sub-counter under the granite. 2) They forced the slab into place against the wall so hard, they knocked things off the shelf in the adjoining room and punched a hole in the sheet rock, which they did not fix. 3) The counter is not level, and the uneven distribution of weight was enough that has become difficult to open the drawers that sit just below the counters. Previously the drawers opened and closed easily. 4) The seams are EXTREMELY obvious where the counter is affixed to the cabinets. It appears they tried to level the counters using glue (???); once the counters settled, the glue oozed out and down the side of my cabinet. Several calls to the company requesting someone come back out to look at and fix the above (since many of the flaws were not as apparent until the counters settled) went unanswered. We ended up having everything fixed using a general contractor not associated with Pro Stone. Do yourself the favor and go with someone a little more professional in the first place! Pros: friendly staff, quick turnaround Cons: shoddy workmanship
