Capital Park's director message says they allow children to grow at their own pace. From my friend's perspective, a fellow parent who sent a child there, they allow children to grow at a pace they feel is appropriate. If your child is behind, beware. The staff will moan and groan to the director about the additional work they have to do for your child (This was overheard by her). God forbid there might be differences in the classroom. There are a few teachers who will look out for your children and do a terrific job, and that's great. They are mostly in the toddler side of the building. My friend was not one of the lucky ones once her child reached preschool, which seems to be a big problem. Her child would complain about being teased constantly, and the teachers offered no help. What infuriated her is that the bullying children were not approached. Teachers are at a loss of control, and the children are in charge. Too many parents have taken their children to other centers out of frustration and numerous staff members have quit. Unfortunately, there aren't too many other options for such a low price. I myself considered bringing my sons there until I consulted my friend. Please do your research before choosing this center.
