Review content:
My husband and I try to go to Sabuddy at least once a week for lunch. The service is friendly and very quick, the owner is almost always there talking to the customers, it's clean and airy, and the food is delicious. The baba ghanouj, hummus, and lentil soup are all dense and rich and great with their pita bread. The meat in the shwarma sandwich is tender and flavorful, and their pounded-thin chicken schnitzel is juicy and perfect over fluffy rice, served with vegetables that remind me of Indian curry. Mint iced tea goes well with everything. The falafel sandwich is a little dry; I prefer the one at Saba's Mediterranean Cuisine on Bell Road, and the baklava doesn't really need the sauces with which it is served, but overall, this is way-above-average lunchtime fare. The new out-of-the-way, harder-to-find Scottsdale location is less busy than the old Tempe location, and that's a shame, because this place deserves to have lines out the door every day.
Pros: Great food, great service, great price
Cons: Poor location
