Businiess name:  Great Taste Chinese Restaurant

Review content:
09/10 We ordered house special chow mei fun, angel hair, and eggplant with garlic sauce, The latter was sticky sweet and included peppers. The house special chow mei fun was anything but special. The only difference I could determine between it and lo mein was a little less soy sauce. There was a scattering of indeterminable chicken parts, small shrimp and a few overcooked vegetables. Overall the meal was very disappointing for a restaurant that at one time was considered the best in the state. 11/06 This restaurant is located in a rather seedy section of New Britain, but we are drawn there by its wonderful Chinese food. Service is always excellent and the Szchwan entrees, in particular, are to die for. My favorite entree is the Sa Cha chicken. We also regularly order takeout with our favorites being the vegetarian lo mein and hot and sour soup. I would highly recommend making reservations on the weekends as this restaurant has been highly popular for at least 25 years. Pros: Reliably excellent Chinese food, very good service, Cons: Located off the beaten path in a seedy section of town
