Review content:
I'm the proud owner of an adult rescue dog that was once emotionally and physically abused. It wasn't long after I adopted him before I began seeing the full impact his past has had on his ability to trust people. Through word-of-mouth, I heard wonderful things about Tails Up Dog Training in Burnsville, MN, and I immediately enrolled him (or more accurately, myself) in an 8-week beginning obedience course. I also met with the owner, Kori Bevis, for a couple of private sessions to gain a better understanding of my dog's behavioral issues. I was instantly impressed by both the immense knowledge and genuine dedication of Kori and her team. Kori has been working with animals since she was a child, and it shows. Her equally experienced team of trainers are as enthusiastic and passionate as she is. They are believers in the scientifically-verifiable power of positive reinforcement, and they're willing to work one-on-one with people until they achieve the relationship they want with their dog. The results I have seen with my own dog's behavior are astounding. At one point, Kori even recommended that I see his veterinarian about the possibility of hypothyroidism; imagine my amazement when the lab tests confirmed her suspicions! I would highly recommend Tails Up to any dog owner, whether you're looking to enter top competitions, teach your companion basic commands, or mend a battered soul.
