Review content:
My mother signed up for training sessions with Mr. Chris Wilson last year and he only honored half of her training sessions which were all paid in full upfront. After only meeting with her during their first session, he then passed off the other sessions onto his assistant at the time (who has since quit). After his assistant would continuously show up late (due to oversleeping or whatever other reason) Mr. Wilson took over training sessions for about 4 more times until he started canceling.
He owes my mother over $500 in unscheduled sessions. My mother is a senior citizen, very well-meaning with an extremely gentle disposition, and currently battling Multiple Sclerosis. When she asked him to reschedule sessions that he canceled, and for the balance of unused sessions, he has responded to her with replies like, ?I have better things to do than keep an appointment with you? and ?I can only make appointments in the late afternoon, not during the day like you old people want.? About two months ago, he finally agreed to issue a cash refund by an agreed upon date in April. He has not honored this request and has made himself completely unreachable by phone.
Being a dishonest businessman is one thing, but communicating to a senior citizen in such a repulsive manner completely broke my heart. To make matters worse, my mother even helped him with personal favors during the time that she hired him as a trainer (i.e. helping him find a hat when she took an out of town trip and helping him set up a surprise visit for someone from his past) because she is such a trusting person. To me this is a classic case of him taking her kindness for weakness and spotting a ripe opportunity to get over by weaseling out of honoring his contractual obligations. Needless to say, I will be seeing him in court.
Please don?t only take my word for it. Before you even consider hiring him, do some more research and start asking around in Danville. His tarnished reputation has been well deserved, and he will continue to fail with his slimy business practices, nasty habit of taking advantage of his clients (particularly the elderly) and complete and utter lack of ethics.
