Review content:
Caring and Well managed by a staff of gen·u·ine·ly good people. The facility is well known for its Korean and American menus. As a social worker/interpreter there for the duration of 1.5 years from 2004 to 2005, I really enjoyed the patients' menus. I would not have it anyway else. CNA for 25 years and Chef for 22 years employment left with tears and thanked the owner of the facility. Facility is operated and managed by multi ethnic groups consisting Israeli Americans, Philipino Americans, Hispanic Americans, Afro Americans and Korean Americans. With city of LA increasingly hosting more Koreans every year, there is a desperate need of the senior assisted living facilities for emerging 1st Gen Korean immigrant elderly and their parents who tagged along for a ride in the immigration bandwagon with their sons' and daughters' families sometimes back. You can immagine what kind of lives they went through and it shows in their behavior as it clearly shows they are truly lost in unfortunate era. Culture Shocks to these elderly patients are not so easy to swallow when they frankly do believe to be abandoned by their own families despite family's incapacity to care for them. Therefore, physical and emotional safekeeping all patients are not easily granted. Inspite of all these devastating odds, they are doing well with constant brain storming of staff and management in pursuit of medical and customer service excellence. I cannot find True HEROs like the ones that work in Grand Park Convalescent Hospital. Not only I am ex-employee but our family is a customer as my maternal grandmother of age 100 is residing happily in the facility for several years now. For those who is desperately seeking assisted living facilities for sick and terminally ill senior patients. They also facilitates Hospice Service. I recommed strongly!!!
