Review content:
Warning: Petland sells sick dogs. Petland buys dogs from puppy mills where there is little to no veterinary care, and a lack of food, water and shelter....so the puppies moms and dads are in really bad health, meaning the puppies are too. Petland claims that they only buy from breeders with ?the highest standards,? but the Humane Society of the United States has found that they continue to buy from known puppy mills and out-of-state brokers that deal with puppy mills. The Petland in St. Paul and Shakopee bought puppies from at least two major brokers which the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has cited for multiple violations. In 2009, this store received shipments from 'Heritage Puppies' in Missouri, that sell over 5000 puppies a year and reportedly grosses over $1000000 in sales. In May 2008, Heritage Puppies reportedly had over 500 adult dogs at the facility during an inspection by the USDA. Best option: ADOPTION! Checkout Petfinder online
