Review content:
There are some good things about this restaurant. For one thing, if you really know sushi... the rice here is very good, and the fish is fresh and there is a decent selection. The problem is, they serve those enormous American-style slabs of sushi with giant rice mounds underneath. Maybe they think Americans perceive this as providing a great value -- but the fact is, the size of these pieces ruins the whole deal. If you decide to try this place, stick with the rolls, which are mostly of normal size. If you go with the fish, order a third as much as you normally would, and eat with your hands. Another big negative here was our waiter, who botched our entire order, and acted as if we were somehow trying to confuse him. There's a decent but overpriced sake list, which leans heavily toward Nigaata sakes.
Pros: Fresh fish, good rice, decent sake list.
Cons: Huge slabs of sushi inexpertly prepared by a chef who doesn't know how to cut fish.
