Being computer savvy and loving the Google tools, I have used several on-line booking engines for hotels and seemingly easily arranged packages only to find out that for the ""great"" price I was getting, the compromise was a less than standard room location at the wonderful resort or worse, flight problems that I had no one to call for help. When I finally got home and compared not only the time it took me to get the level of service I thought I had paid for through the resort and the extra money in transfers and meals I thought were included, I went and booked my next trip with All Horizons Travel. My talent was not in travel arranging, so my next trip on line was to search for Travel Agencies in my area and I talked to Maureen Jones at All Horizons Travel about Tahiti, Fiji and Australia. I ended up in Fiji and loved it so much, not only because she was able to upgrade my room with just a phone call, but because I knew that if anything went wrong, I had one number to call if I needed help. Maureen sympathized with my previous travel crises as we have all have had them, but with an experienced travel agent, there is a level of savvy that they just love to share and can really make the trip! Her comment, and I totally agree, is ""without a travel agent, you are on your own!""
Pros: Experience saves time and money on your trip, you have someone to call if you need help while away
Cons: Cannot think of any!
