Review content:
Several years ago I was sent to Dr Durrett as a specialist referral from Dr. Webb. I had lost close to 40 pounds and Dr Durrett was very thorough and also practical in his approach to the problem. I traveled to Hoisington for a suggested surgery to explore where an possible cancer may have resided in my body. At that time it was realized that rather than having cancer at that time, the issue was having been poisoned. Dr Durrett offered support in any way to help me resolve the issue medically as well as legally, as we assumed my then wife had in fact perpetrated the crime. In the end I felt very safe in his care. In the office and also in the hospital he was very warm and considerate. Although I was not emotionally ready to deal with being poisoned at that time, I am grateful for the awareness that he was there for me. One story I would like to relate was when Dr Durrett came back and checked on me in the recovery room after I completely awoke. He came to the side of my bed and said he had told me he would be back to see after me. I shared with him that I remembered that he had told me that and he was immediately concerned that I may have experienced pain or discomfort during the procedure because I should not have be coherent enough to be aware of his words immediately following transport to the recovery room. This tells me two things that his follow through is careful and caring in kindly reassuring me knowing that cognitively I should not remember and that my well being during and after the procedure. After several years of recovery from cancer I am coming back now to just say thanks. (Michael ""Mitch"" Jamison)
