Review content:
My girlfriend and I went to Mario's because we have a coupon. The coupon was buy one entree get another free if you buy two (over-priced sodas at $3 each). I understand why they would to add that stipulation, but my girlfriend did not want to order a soda, because she doesn't drink pop. So we asked the waitress if we can avoid buying an unnecessary soda and have our coupon honored if we instead spent on dessert, etc. The manager said no. I have never heard of such stupidity. We each spent an extra $1 by ordering a ceasar salad, I spent $2 extra by having Palamino sauce on my pasta, and we were more than willing to even order a cocktail if they were reasonable. I asked to speak to the manager. She came over (after much delay) and was snippy and rude. Apparently they rather have two sodas ordered no matter what and turn down perhaps another $10 in revenue than make their customers happy. There is no reason to visit this place. There are several Italian restaurants in town, and the food is just pre-packaged junk. The dinning area is like being in a living room (big screen TV blaring Wheel of Fortune, etc.) and the table we were seated was dirty with dirty silverware.
Apparently Mario's does not have the goal of creating happy customers. They barely greet you when you enter, and don't acknowledge you when you leave. They have a moronic mentality and refuse to honor their own coupons/offers. The place is dirty and the manager is extremely inept. Not a single reason to go here. Stay away.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
