ALL SAN ANTONIO SHOPPERS TAKE HEED AND READ THIS REVIEW - Do not go to shop at North Star Mall unless you want to be acosted or mugged. It is a haven for gang vilolence, theft and loitering of undesireables. Ignore all the old reviews you have read so far as they do not give the true picture of what the mall has become. Security is lax or nonexistent so if you value your life do not go unarmed or without a body guard. I am serious !! This is for your own protection. This review may sound a little harsh but I want people to take notice and do something to clean this place up or it will end up being torn down just like Windsor Parl Mall. The signs have already begun as most of the big name department stores have moved out being replaced by smaller less known ethnic stores. Take a walk through the mall if you dare and witness everything I have written about so far. 12 year old kids hanging out smoking with no supervision, kids stealing items off the shelves right in front of you while the store employees do nothing about it and hooded thugs hanging out in large groups outside the entrances challenging other groups of kids to confrontations. In addition the constant appearance of San Antonio Police cars driving up to different entrances of the only affirms the trouble happening daily. Avoid the later hours as the thugs prefer to come out and loiter during this time just like vampires seeking out their unsuspecting victims. Take your shopping dollars elsewhere and do not go to North Star Mall unless you want those shopping dollars to end up in a thief's pocket. Visitors to our fair city should really take heed and avoid this mall if at all possible as it gives a bad picture of what to expect when visiting San Antonio.
