Review content:
I consider myself somewhat of an Italian food connoisseur. That being said, I have fairly high standards for Italian restaurants. I've only been to Ferrari's once, but I doubt I will go again. Not because I had a bad experience, just because I would rather try out new places or revisit old favorites than pay too much for average tasting food. Ferrari's tries really hard to be upscale and authentic. And as far as the decor and ambience goes, they are successful in that goal. The menu, however, is lacking in variety. There were not very many pasta dishes to choose from and certainly not any healthy options on that portion of the menu. I ordered the ravioli, which was rich but lacking in flavor. My date had the lasagna and I kid you not, it tasted like Chef Boyardee (what? I ate a lot of Spaghetti O's in college...). I don't mind average tasting Italian food, but at Ferrari's prices, it's just not acceptable.
Pros: The service was great!
Cons: Food is not worth the price.
