It is hard to believe that there are still guys like Jim still in business these days of the throw away mentality. He did a great job fixing our alternator and it cost only a very small fraction of what a rebuilt exchange one would have. So if you have alternators, starters or even hand operated electric power tools that are in need of repair Peoria Electric is the place to get it done. Most of the time he will fix it while you wait, if not it is seldom longer than 24 hours on starters and alternators. Our alternator was fixed for less than $30 and in less time that it took us to run back into town and back to his shop right behind the store on the corner of Peoria Road and Hwy 34. If you aren't using Peoria Electric first for all your starter and alternator needs then you are going to be loosing money. Locally owned and operated for over 11 years now this is one of the most overlooked businesses in the area. Pros: lots of parking although sometimes a bit tight Cons: Not a lot of waiting room but you don't need to wait for it for very long usually
