I am a United States Veteran who served for 6 years in the Regular Army, not the reserves, and have lived and traveled all over the world. I can honestly say that Kingsport, TN. has the WORST Employment Office, and Veterans Representitive that I have encountered. I have been searching for employment in Kingsport for over three years now! This is rediculous. If I had been looking for a job in any other city in the U.S. I can assure you that I would have numerous job offers within a day or so. I have been driving a tractor trailer over the road only because I have not been offered ANY Employment opportunities in the Tri Cities. I never thought that I would have to stoop so low as to drive a tractor trailer, not to mention that I am a single father who has custody of my 7 yr old son, and driving over the road and not getting home for 5 to 6 weeks is taking it's toll on my son. I am seriously thinking about moving where the local people don't judge you on where you're from, and could care less who you are related to. Where I'm from all you have to tell an employer is, I need to work ,and they will put you to work. No questions about who you're related to, and comments like , you ain't from around here, are ya. I'm literally fed up with this area! Cons: Poor Service, lack of concern for a Veteran, Lazy and Unresponsive
