Review content:
Renting from North State Storage at Weston has been a disaster. When I went to grab a few of my items, I noticed a black spider with a red dot on its back and killed it immediately. After further examination, I noticed my unit was infested with spiders and everything was covered in pollen. There was a giant hole in the side of my unit, letting all the elements in. When I notified management, they were less then helpful, but mention there had been past issues with black widows.
I spent the next week trying to reach their VP to make a formal complaint. Finally after threatening involving the media, they agreed to provide me with an exterminator. When they exterminator met with me, he informed me that he sprays the outside of the unit and the spiders would eventually die inside.
I finally decided I would move my wood pieces of furniture out of the unit and cut my losses with matresses and couches and clothing. I notified by email that I was moving out of the unit, and yet the company STILL continues to charge my credit card. They refuse to stop until I go in the black-widow-infested unit, risk my safety, and remove all the remaining belongings.
Unless you want your belongings destroyed, I would not recommend this storage unit. I would have been better off leaving my belongings out doors. The management was less than helpful. Avoid this place at all costs.
