Review content:
Very hit or miss, but the last few cuts have been awful, so I've given up and won't be back. I've had a couple of decent cuts at Floyd's when I first started going, but too many of their so-called stylists are not properly trained with little experience. And, it seems the goal is high-turnover, so they rush though a cut, with little attention to detail or quality. And, out of 7 or so cuts, I've had the ""massage"" offered only twice. I guess some stylists want to save the time and don't offer or they don't feel comfortable with it. My bad cuts came from inexperienced stylists using a razor, creating a patchy, uneven look -- not noticeable at the time of the the cut, but very apparent after 2 - 3 weeks of re-growth -- HORRIBLE... no symmetry, no rhyme or reason (except for the rush to get another butt in the chair). Some of the layers had a straight, blunt, thick edge, some had an angle, some layers were more wispy. With it being a holiday weekend and needing a cut, I was desperate and went to a local, un-trendy, mini-mall to have the bad Floyd's cut fixed. The stylist knew exactly what I needed and even said repeatedly ""I can't believe they did this to your hair. They butchered it!"" She did an excellent fix, but the low-cost Floyd's cut ended up costing double, as I had to go elsewhere to fix it. I will never return to Floyd's. I'd be better off being a guinea pig at a beauty school or going to SuperCuts. At least with SuperCuts, you walk in knowing not to expect much. The trendy atmosphere in Floyd's can lull you into thinking that you're about to get a cut from a professional -- not so. Again, it's hit or miss. mostly miss! Pros: Probably okay for short cut on a man Cons: Inexperienced Staff, rushing to increase turn-over
