I purchased a flat iron last month at this location. I saved my receipt, as I know most stores require them now. Today, I plugged in the flat iron and the ""on"" light worked fine, but the iron would not heat up at all after several turn-off-and-back-on moments. So, I grabbed the receipt and decided to go make a return. I was expecting to get credit back on my card, so I could buy another brand. The cashier, despite the receipt, the ""within 60 days"" window, and the original product, refused to return it. Why? Because I didn't have the original packaging! WHO IN THE WORLD IS GOING TO SAVE PACKAGING AFTER A MONTH?? So my only option was to trade the old iron in for the identical product, so she could shove my broken iron in the box and send it to the vendor. She handed me the new iron out of the box that I had to shove in my purse. No return receipt was issued, and nothing written on the old receipt was made. So, I guess this means if the new one breaks down, I don't have the 60 day return policy because my receipt is dated almost 30 days ago. And if I'm lucky and it breaks down within the remaining days on the receipt, I'll have to exchange it for yet another identical product (so they can save the packaging for the vendor!) Amazing this store cares more about their vendors than customer service! But my story doesn't end there - my 12 yr old daughter was looking for make-up while I was making this ""exchange"". She found some makeup she liked, and she stood in line. The same cashier who ""helped"" me had another customer at the register, and we were next in line. She had to get e-mail addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses in order to complete the transaction. We stood there for 5 minutes, turned around and noticed that the line was about 8 deep after us. One customer interrupted and asked if there was anyone else that could help us! Nope. Cashier didn't even bother to call anyone up. I finally told my daughter to put her stuff away and we were leaving. I have had it with this place! Taking care of the vendor before the customer blows me away. But I have had it with these gimmicky sales where they need to know your address, e-mail and phone number before you can buy a tube of lip gloss while people stand in line for 20 minutes!
