I did not review my membership after a 2 year contract because the locker rooms smelled and there were always dirty towels lying on the floors and the benches.
The wet area (pool, hot tub, saunas) were also filthy. I used the sauna frequently and have seen the same trash lying in the sauna for days on end.
Low-class member were constantly breaking things without being canceled or the equipment being repaired. Once the men's sauna was closed for over a week because some trash member pissed on the sauna heater. Nothing else was done to police the gym.
A few weeks ago I was enticed to join again by a very cheap monthly rate. Within a few days I regretted the move. After coming in on a Saturday morning (90 minutes) after opening) to use the sauna I discovered that neither the men's or women's sauna was turned on.
After going to the front desk to complain the young man lied to me saying that he had turned the saunas on at 7:30 AM, two hours earlier. Really?!!
It is bad enough to mess up my experience, but lying about it is inexcusable. I wrote the GM explaining what happened and demanded my membership be canceled. He wrote back apologizing and saying he spoke with the corporate office and my membership was taken care of.
When asked for proof he again assured me that the corporate office was handling the membership cancellation.
Today I discovered that this never happened and my checking account was debited. When I return to town my first stop is to file a small-claims suit and issue press releases.
Don't waste your time with this gym. I am now at Fuse and they changed their rates and are really affordable for the cleanest gym, the best equipment and great service.
