Review content:
My family lives in Monmouth County and I find little spots sometimes to head to when I am out here. I first took a class at bluemoon a few years ago when the original owner was there. The class was incredible, something called Jivamukti.
Anyway, went back this time - and much to my dismay, the Jivamukti teacher AND the original owner is no longer there. The place was dated!!!!! It still looked pretty much like it used to look, the bathroom smelt and the studio floor had dust balls under the window.
The worst part of the experience? Class. It was juvenile, forced and the teacher - Janet, was like one of those cooky old ladies you see on Wai Lana Yoga. It was horrible. This is a class I would have sent my grandmother to if she hadn't just flown back to Boston last night.
I know someone who got certified through bluemoonyoga's teacher training program, and ONLY because I ran into her and she told me her mom got her hours back in 08. She refuses to teach anywhere, because she said she didn't learn a thing from the owners, she only learned how to take people's money. That is how I feel about the class that I wasted $18 on!!!! Can't wait to get to Laughing Lotus tomorrow morning!
Pros: Near The Grove, really great shopping.
Cons: The teachers - ugh!
