Review content:
As it was Bastille Day, my boyfriend and I sought out a recommended French restaurant for dinner. When we arrived at Cafe Chloe, we first noticed its casual, romantic, and refined atmosphere. We were promptly seated, which unfortunately was nearly the only prompt thing about Cafe Chloe. After having finished our tartiflette reblochon starter, which was in itself original, we had to wait for thirty minutes for our main course of cassoulet au confit de canard. In the meantime, not a single person checked on us. Only after having finished our wine did our main course come. The server apologized for the wait as did the manager. The duck was moist and tender to the point of falling off the bone. Although good, the cassoulet itself was more an American-style casserole than a proper cassoulet. After having asked for the check, we were told the owner was kind enough to take the starter off the bill. So even though we had to wait half an hour for our dinner, I would still recommend Cafe Chloe. It was an overall good experience.
Pros: romantic ambience, original take on classic dishes
Cons: poor service
