On December 20, 2008 representatives of the Hartsville Fire Department brought Santa to Stover Mill to see the children.. Two of my grandchilden were with me that day so I took them to see Santa. My grandson is 10 and my granddauighter is 7. My grandson was wearing two of his prized possessions - a Mets jacket and a Mets hat. We're from NY and are Mets fans which seems to be a crime in PA. One of the volunteers dressed in fireman gear starting making remarks to my grandson about his jacket and hat. This man was in his 50' or 60's. Then a younger man, probably in his 30's who got out of the fire chief car put one hand around his neck and poked a finger from his other hand down his throat and kept making gagging sounds. To make things worse Santa started making rude remarks to my grandson. All this happened with my granddaughter standing and listening to this garbage. I've had some really nasty things said to me because I'm from NY but for these idiots to think it's okay to attack a child is disgusting. I wonder how they would feel if some one attacked them or a child they care about. I can assure you no one from New York would ever talk to another person (except Osama and his friends) the way these idiots spoke. I will be sending a copy of this to the management company for Stover Mill. Hopefully they'll be as disgusted as I am. Should the Hartsville Fire Department send me a request for a donation I can assure you it will go in the garbage.
