I would recommend Arthur Sloane to anyone who needs a lawyer. Straight shooter, honest, upfront and fights for you while playing ""devils advocate"" from time to time to help keep you grounded. If you need a professional fighter with you in the ""legal ring""... call Art
My situation:
A company threatened to sue us. I knew that they did not have a case and they were full of garbage, but I was strongly warned not to represent myself because 99% of the time someone represents themselves, they lose.
I contacted local attorneys and they all charged around $350hr with a $2500 retainer. I was very angry at how expensive it was going to cost me; I did not plan for these expenses and it would have put a serious strain on our family's finances. I ended up purchasing Pre-paid legal as a desperate attempt to have something in place, but those services are scoffed at by legitimate lawyers, so I felt like I was going to be crushed by the company's lawyer against my prepaid legal amateurs.
Luckily my wife did some online research and found Arthur Sloane who charged an extremely affordable rate and although its only been a few days, it looks like the situation will be resolved in less than one week.
I will cancel pre-paid legal services, although I hear they are good for ""advice"" not ""representation"", but I will always use Arthur Sloane whenever I need a strong lawyer in my corner.
