A truck my husband sold over a year ago was impounded, they sent us a bill for over 1,000$ claiming he was the registered owner. He called explaining he was NOT and that he had sent in the release of liability and confirmed that with the DMV. The person on the phone called him ""hard headed"" and said he had to phisically bring in the document to prove it. FYI my husband is a firefighter with one day off, who should be relaxing today not worrying about this bull#$%& going on our credit. Going down the registration line hoping someone forgot to send in the release of liability so you can screw them is ridiculous and dirty. Not cool.
