Review content:
Without fail, everytime we visit Philly I cajole my husband who is a Springfield native to take me to Charlies. I long for a cheeseburger loaded accompanied by a black and white. The first time my husband took me to this haven of burgers in 1983, I could not believe how tasty the burgers were. I was smitten with the tradition surrounding this humbling cheesebuger shack. On that initial visit I reordered two times for a total of five burgers. In my opinion there is no other burger/shake joint in the US like Charlies - unless you happen to find yourself on Long Beach Island, NJ at The Holiday Snack Bar (a close 2nd) ordering cheesburgers w/special relish, shake, and a mega size slice of homemade cake. Hmmm, honey lets throw caution to the wind and hop on that $89 flight to Philly . . . . .
