Review content:
My husband and I finally tried the Hollywood burger bar yesterday after living in Hollywood district for 2 yrs. and hearing this place has ""won"" ""most popular burger"" at this neighborhood's burger battle contest. These were the VERY WORST BURGERS we have ever had. The patties were burnt to a crisp on one side. Cheese was just placed on top and served (not melted). The bland potato salad not home made. We thought, ""this is taking unusually long to get a simple order of cheeseburger, fries, ice tea"". I wanted to say something, but the old man (must have been owner) was engrossed with filling the ketchup bottles. It's a shame because my husband and I are both out of work, and to go out to eat is a treat. Too bad we spent our money on such a bad tasting lunch. The burnt taste stayed in my mouth long after leaving the place.
Pros: charming diner atmosphere
Cons: terrible burgers!
