I went to this store because they were where my friend and sister both got their gowns. So I thought I would give them a shot. The first time I called to see if I needed an appointment, I spoke with Mary Kay herself. I was polite and got the answer I needed, before hanging up she asked when my wedding was. I told her the end of September, and she flipped out. That's really close, you should have ordered your dress WAY before now. Um, it's over 9 months away. When I was in the store they told me it wasn't a problem so why was she freaking out? I ended up calling again for some clarification on a few things, and got Mary Kay again, she asked me again when my wedding was, and I told her, and I got the same response- flipping out. Then she put me on hold to go get my file, and someone else picked up and helped me.
They don't take appointments except on Sundays for a charge of $25.00. So show up early otherwise you'll wait! They ""don't allow"" pictures to be taken unless the dress has been purchased. Some of the staff allow pictures, some don't.
I was able to find a few dresses I liked, the price tag said $875 dollars. No one ever mentioned a hollow to hem measurement until the 2nd time I was there to make my final decision. One gal told me it was 10% of the dress, okay I can deal with that. On the phone later that day another woman told me it was $150 for the hollow to hem measurement! There's a big difference there. When I asked what the reason it was for no one would explain what it was, and why that measurement was needed. I had to call back 3 times, finally I spoke with Ashley the owners daughter who was very nice and explained everything.
I still won't order my dress here, from the horror stories I've heard from others. Their store is a little dirty and it seemed like people were just hanging out on the couches watching other women try on dresses. Including some men. The store needs a little bit of a makeover, even some slip covers for the chairs and couches would be nice, because the dirt on them is obvious. And Mary Kay needs to retire and pass the store on to Ashley, she is the only one who really knows what she is doing there and treats people nicely!
Pros: Nice selection of dresses, they don't work on commission
Cons: service, dirty store, don't allow pictures
