Review content:
My father died at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Monday late evening, December 20th. We wanted to have the funeral in Columbus, Ohio before Christmas, so that family members who had converged for the holidays could attend. Victor (don't know his last name, wish I did) handled everything on the Maryland end flawlessly and speedily. This included ""urging"" the hospital to get the death certificate issued pronto, getting the governmental permit to transport a body interstate on an expedited basis, picking up dad's body at the hospital, embalming, arranging for the first flight out on Wednesday December 22nd , and transporting the body to the Baltimore airport for that early flight. Because of Victor's efforts, we were able to have dad's funeral Thursday afternoon, December 23rd.
Bluntly, when I first asked about having the funeral on Thursday, I figured it was impossible. Victor made it possible. In my view, that is first-class service.
