Review content:
the customer bought the blouse off of a display from J. Crew. She showed me the pinholes where they had pinned it to the mannequin. After Cleaning she accused me of putting a hole in the blouse under the arm. Out of customer service I offered to sew it up for her. The hole was about 2mm. under the arm near the seam and any novice seamstress could have fixed it. The customer could not understand that J. Crew could have pinned the blouse under the arm as well and just got a little more noticeable after normal cleaning process. She declined our offer. I fully refunded(all of her bill which was over $65) her money in cash because last time I checked cash is just as good as credit towards are card. (we recently changed our card software and was not able to refund any other way at the time). At that time I realized that the customer was out to get something for nothing. Why else refuse repair and refuse cash refund(she wanted credit to her card)? As far as something being burned? Any knowledgeable person who knows about dry cleaning and pressing knows that cleaners do not use heat element irons in finishing. We use teflon base with STEAM only. gkapur, I will make a bet with you, bring in a blouse and let me put our iron on it for thirty minutes in one place with FULL steam. If it scorches I will give you $500 bucks on the spot. If it does not scorch, you give me $500. I will be waiting..... I have only had to turn away two other customers in thirteen years:( Oh, by the way they have returned and no complaints. I have accepted them back because I do not like to hold a grudge. Doing business for so long I have learned that NO business can satisfy ALL customers and in certain cases it is mutually beneficial for the customer and business to end a relationship such as in this case. Talking with others in this business, it looks as if I am not the first to refuse your business. Please call me when you want to take me up on the $500 offer above. I do not question your ability to practice law just because I watch Law and Order, so please do not assume you know what goes on in a dry cleaners because you know how to use a home iron. Future clients, if you want to come to a place where we do the work on site, owners are hands-on, our staff have an average of over nine years in the cleaning/pressing, and where the stain removal specialist has education from International Fabricare Institute and was not hired ""off the street"", then come and visit us. If you are a customer who jumps to conclusions and want something for nothing, please drive on by to the discount cleaner where they may not use detergent, clean with dirty solvent, and do not know how to press your garments. Pros: Owner has over 36500 hours of experience
