Businiess name:  Martin's House Of Cloth

Review content:
I am a textiles junkie. I love things like weave, threadcount, texture, pattern, look + feel. I recall sitting by my mothers side in the 70s and 80s as she flipped through pattern catalogs at the local fabric shop. Now, I'm doing it and I can see why she loved textiles so much. Moving to NH was tough for me, I lost a lot of contact with my usual haunts - Fabric Place in Woburn, MA and Zimman's in Lynn. I think once you've shopped Zimman's or NYC or Paris for textiles, as I have, it's hard to look elsewhere. However, one must be open minded and realistic. For me, locating Martins House of Cloth in Bedford was a life saver. They have two floors or textiles, patterns, embellishments, a catalog section, and a great sales staff. They also have a nice selection of sale fabrics on the 1st floor along the back wall. Best of all, they have swatches of each fabric pinned to the bolt, so you can take one with you. If they are out, they'll cut you one right from the bolt, about 2" H X 7" W, which is a nice size swatch. If you live in NH and dream of Zimmans, discover Martins - they have a beautiful assortment, excellent prices, and 2 full floors of textile heaven!
