Review content:
The little café/restaurant on Main St used to be known as Mary Ellen's. It changed hands and got a charming redo on the inside, but luckily they kept the best FrenchToast in the Rochester area on their menu.
Our server was very nice, not overly chatty, and kept the coffee coming. She was very accommodating to the child in our party, too. They seem to maintain a loyal local clientèle, too, as she talked with other customers whose first names she knew.
We all had the hash browns (a huge helping that took up an entire plate, and that was one serving) and the Cinnamon Swirl with vanilla topping. I still dream of that thick, spongy, cinnamon-vanilla confection. There are a few other flavored toppings, to go with it as well. The breakfast quesadilla thing looks great, too- large portions on that as well. They also serve a regular and a flavored coffee each day; try the pumpkin seasonal flavored. Also noteworthy is the fact that, when you ask for chocolate milk, they bring you a great tall cold glass of it. None of these little plastic child's cups that you end up needing to buy 3 of to get through your meal.
If you happen to be in Rochester NY/Williamson area, try to fit this little gem into your visit.
