My Canon S500 camera had gotten covered in mud and froze. I checked with Canon and other camera places in the area and it would've taken at least 3 times as long to fix (in one case 5-7 times longer), and cost at least 25% more! I was given an explanation of what was probably the problem with the camera, a cost which was the exact cost, and a time frame, which was also correct. It's worth it just to visit the store, with all the camera parts everywhere. I highly recommend Apollo Camera Repair.
