Businiess name:  Mario's Pizza & Italian Rstrnt
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
We have been going to Mario's on E. Indep. in Mattthews for over 18 years ONCE a WEEK sometimes more, probably 1,000 times. They have weekly special; $3 off large one topping pizza on Wed. It really wasn't about the $3 off but Wed. is almost always OUR night to eat out with the family. Nearly every special occasion; family birthdays, wedding rehersal dinner for 50+ (the owner, Jackie closed for us on a Fri. eve.) The food and service is always top-notch. We are well acquainted with the owner and her staff - like part of our family. We even feel guilty if for whatever reason we ever eat pizza or Italian somewhere else. Our fellow locals already know where you need to be to get some off the hook 'pie'. Update - closed 1st part of April. We ate there 4 of last 5 days open. Quite heartbreaking for us. We wish Jackie and her staff the best in their next incarnations.
